Cast and Crew:
Carly “Goober” Berdine (Dropo) is excited to take on the role of Dropo, the lazy Martian. She got her start in theater last year working sound and lights for Living Dead in Denmark and fell in love with being a part of theater. This year she got her first role on stage in The Three Musketeers.
Scott Cameron (Stobo) has worked with the Asheville Community Theatre, Different Strokes Performing Arts Collective, the Magnetic Theatre, the Montford Park Players and the Attic Salt Theatre Company. He was most recently in ACT’s production of Fight Girl Battle World earlier this year. Scott is married to his beautiful wife Lori. They have to wonderful daughters, Sally and Sydney.
Sonia D’Andrea (Lady Momar) is an Asheville native and has been performing on local stages since 2004. Favorite past roles include Milady in The Three Musketeers and Desdemona in Othello, both with the Montford Park Players. Much love to this incredible crew of deeply silly people. Enjoy the show, and thank you for supporting community theatre!
Scott Fisher (Voldar) is thrilled to be onstage among such brilliant people. Since moving to Asheville in 2007, he has put his BA in Theatre Arts to good use in this city, working with Attic Salt Theatre Company, The Magnetic Theatre, Sublime Theatre and Press, and Different Strokes Performing Arts Collective. Previous Attic Salt credit: All In The Timing. Thanks and love to Kirby and Rio.
Kirby Gibson (Betty/Bomar) is simply chuffed to part of this silliness. Kirby has been involved in Asheville local theater since she graduated from UNC Asheville in 2012. She also spent several years in Chicago exploring the storefront theater scene before returning to Asheville in 2020. Some of her previous favorite roles include: Gary Coleman in Avenue Q, Marta in Company, Stephanie in Oxalis, Linda in Evil Dead the Musical, and Emilie in The Submission. Love and gratitude to her partner Scott, her friends, and family.
Elias (Eli) Hamilton (Billy/Girmar) loves every aspect of performing arts. They have spent ten years working both on and off stage and camera. Their favorite roles include Kent in King Lear and the titular role in The Little Prince. Eli has worked with Anam Cara Theater Company, the Montford Park Players, and The Magnetic Theater. They are thrilled to join the Santa Clause cast and work with Attic Salt!
Darren Marshall (Santa Claus) showed up to audition for The Tempest in 2006. The director was so intimidated by his booming presence, that he was cast out of fear. He’s still here. No one is really certain where he came from, but rumor has it there is a lot of corn there. He is definitely not a cookie, but he may just be a Muppet wearing a human suit.
Lauren Powers (Candi Claus) is so happy to have finally arrived in Asheville! This summer she appeared in the Montford Park Players production of The Three Musketeers. Previously, in Texas and California, her roles include Lorraine Sheldon in The Man Who Came to Dinner, the King of Naples in The Tempest, Kathy in Company and Sister in Damn Yankees. Happy Holidays!
Torg (Himself) is overwhelmed to be a part of this production. From advanced word of this, his first Earth role, he has already struck a three-picture deal with Disney, and will be performing his one-man cabaret on tour in Europe this coming summer. Torg dedicates his performance to all the soldiers who are still on Phobos, keeping us safe from the Plemtarcs.
Ritch Shydner (Chochem) made numerous stand-up comedy appearances on TV in the 1980’s including Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show and an HBO One Night Stand. He has had guest actor roles in Married with Children as well as films Roxanne and Beverly Hills Cop II. He has also written for Roseanne and The Jeff Foxworthy Show, as well as material for Foxworthy’s Grammy nominated comedy albums, Totally Committed and Big Fun. In 2006 Ritch was co-author of a book on stand-up, “I Killed”. Currently Ritch is writing a movie adaptation for HBO of Bill Maher's book, "True Story", and continues stand-up performances around the globe.
Eric Vik (Kinmar) just moved to Asheville this year. He participated in several Montford Park Players shows, including as Polonius in Hamlet and The Duke of Buckingham in The Three Musketeers.
Rodney Smith (Director) has been working in the Asheville theatre scene since 2010. His first play, Table 6 (also directed), garnered a Fringe Festival award for Best Comedy in 2014. Since then, he has been writing, directing, and producing theatre and performance podcasts. His writer/director credits include Night of the Living Dead: REDUX and Full-Tilt Boogie at the Big Bang Diner. Recently, he directed The Three Musketeers for The Montford Park Players
Nichole Sumpter (Stage Manager) is excited for the opportunity to work with this wonderful cast and crew. Some of her favorites credits include: All Shook Up, Facility for Living, The Diary of Anne Frank, Newsies, and Say Goodnight, Gracie.
Nicki LaRue (Puppets/Costumes), Master of Puppets, is a relative newbie to Asheville theatre and she enthusiastically brings her eclectic experience to our community! With a certification from Tom Savini’s Special Makeup Effects Program, she is trained in practical effects, prop-building, sculpture, fabrication, and graphic design.
Rachel Cort (Lighing Design)
