THE NAME ATTIC SALT

Every new theater company faces the challenge of finding a name that is representative of the company's mission, and yet sounds snappy.  In our search we came across the following definition:

Attic Salt: Particularly acute, graceful, biting wit, as embodied in the satirical comedies of Aristophanes.

The members felt that this represents the reputation that the company strives for.  Using fine writing as our first filter on the projects we undertake, Attic Salt the company would like to soon be synonymous with grace and wit as the phrase implies.
