The Sultan’s Wife debuts at Hostos Academy in

Attic Salt establishes its Educational Division and
begins producing two shows for children, The Sultan’s Wife by
Marci Appelbaum and Feet Water by Jeff Catanese. |

Company becomes incorporated. |

Attic
Salt mounts its second production, Paul & Nora Sing by Jeff
Catanese, as part of the Pulse Discovery Project at the Pulse Theatre
in Manhattan. The administrators at Pulse consider it a great
success. |

The members of Attic
Salt participate in its first community outreach event, AIDS
Walk/NY. They raise over $400 for that charity.
Walking in AIDS Walk/NY becomes an Attic Salt annual event. |

Attic Salt receives
a warm welcome into New York’s theater community when it mounts
its first production, The Mystery of… by Jeff
Catanese, as part of a one-act showcase entitled Take Two Nights in
Spring. The Mystery of… ran at the Duffy Theatre and
Chicago City Limits, both in Manhattan. |

Informal meetings
with the members of the future company were held to discuss the
idea of starting Attic Salt. Interest was high all around,
and the spark for what was to become Attic Salt was ignited. |
